It quite a shocking news to heard that Yoon Eun Hye and Kang Ji Hwan lead new SBS drama titled Lie To Me (previously titled Sweet Scandal).
The fact that Lie To Me airs next May adds the shock, but all in a good and happy ways.
After the uncertainty with her supposed drama Love Song which lost its lead actor Park Yong Ha, it’s a very good news that Yoon Eun Hye backs in TV drama again.
She’s Korean actress in her own league, everything she’s in will draw attention.
And Kang Ji Hwan, after greatly performed in Coffee House, he supposed to be lead actor for big budget drama Faith, but the plan was in jeopardy as he faced contract dispute with his former management.
So, it’s a surprise to know that he backs again , he’s such a real actor, he definitely can act.
Yoon Eun Hye plays Gong Ah Jung, an employee of a marketing company, unmarried woman in her 20s who pretends to be a married woman for her own benefits. She then involves in great problem because of her scandal.
Kang Ji Hwan plays Hyun Ki Joon, a CEO of luxury hotel, an arrogant man who is mistaken as Gong Ah Jung’s husband.
Other confirmed cast is Jo Yoon Hee (Hot Blood, Golden Fish). She plays Oh Yoon Joo, Hyun Ki Joon’s ex-fiancee.
SBS puts veteran great PD Kim Soo Ryong (Green Rose, Father’s House) and Kwon Hyuk Chan of Secret Garden to direct the drama. Meanwhile the script job goes to writer Kim Ye Ri who wrote Heading To The Ground.
May will be an entertaining month for Korean drama lovers, all 3 Korean main TV stations release new drama for Monday-Tuesday slot.
KBS gets Jang Nara-Choi Daniel ‘Baby-faced Beauty‘ on May 2, SBS releases Yoon Eun Hye-Kang Ji Hwan ‘Lie To Me‘ on May 9 and follows by MBC with ‘Miss Ripley‘ , starred by Lee Da Hae and Micky Yoochun at the end of month.
What a drama war, we couldn’t be happier and we believe that SBS will win the rating this time.
