Have you ever imagine making a movie with only USD 2,500 ? Is it possible ?

Yes, it is possible. Thumbelina’s Dad, a crime thriller movie was made with only 3,000,000 Won (equal with USD 2,500).
Thumbelina’s Dad will be released on September 2 and when people heard that the movie only cost 3,000,000 Won, they are amazed and their comments were like : ‘Incredible’ , ‘What a great work’ , ‘A fresh idea’. And we agree with them !

Thumbelina’s Dad is about a man who wants to save his daughter ‘Yeong Ju’ from a murderer called ‘Thumbelina’s Dad’ , a kidnapper and killer of young girls.
Yeong Ju’s father , named ‘Director Oh’ , hire 2 professional fixers to save her daughter, and fixers ‘Chung Sik’ and ‘Dong Gu’ s endeavor to save Yeong Ju is the main plot of this movie.

The 3,000,000 Won that was used in this movie was used for the equipment and for the movie’s operation. The director bought a used DVX100, tape, computer for editing, etc.
But as they were cheap, the cameras had some problems. So, he had to use some money to fix it . This movie had used its money only for the filming and not for the people. The actors (Jin Da Eun, Bang Dong Won , Lee Seol Goo) did this movie purely because they liked the scenario and they didn’t get paid.
