Mellow actress, Soo Ae, got a lead role again in upcoming SBS drama titled Forget Me Not.
30-year-old Soo Ae, a quite veteran actress, successfully managed to make her name widely known through IRIS‘ spin-of drama Athena : Goddess of War where she played a double cover spy agent.
Then she grabbed another lead role in thriller movie Midnight FM, and the movie worked quite well.
Now, she graces a leading role in Forget Me Not which we think very fitted for her melancholic face.
Forget Me Not is love story between a man and a woman who lost her memory.
So, maybe there’s a lot of tears and sadness there and if our prediction is right then Soo Ae is perfect cast.
The leading lady is ready, then who’s the leading man ?
Rumor has it that the role probably goes to Hallyu star Song Seung Heon. If he takes it, then we think it’s another perfect cast again. Song Seung Heon- who rose to fame through tear-jerker Endless Love- makes a new mellow drama ? We buy it !
But, maybe we completely wrong, maybe the story is a romantic comedy, ha !
Forget Me Not will be another teamwork of My Man’s Woman ‘s PD & writer team, PD Jung Eul Young and writer Kim Soo Hyun who also wrote Life is Beautiful and Mom Has Grown Horns.
This drama will replace Musa Baek Dong Soo for SBS’ Monday-Tuesday slot next September.
Meanwhile , Soo Ae just came from her humanitarian work in one of poorest country in Asia, Bangladesh. She’s part of ‘Because I am A Girl’ program which aims to give hope for girls who suffer from discrimination and violence.
During her 6 days visit, Soo Ae distributed health care tools at villages.
She met with some young mothers who suffered from early marriages and Soo Ae couldn’t hide her tears when she heard their sad stories.
She also met with a 17-year-old single mother who raised her 4-year-old son all by herself.
Soo Ae so touched with their life and she hopes that the program would be a new beginning to help those poor children.
We wish that, too.
