The star of trilogy God Quiz, baby-face actor Ryoo Duk Hwan, sealed an important role in Lee Min Ho’s first saeguk ‘Faith‘.
Ryoo Duk Hwan will be playing the role of King Gong Min , the king in the Goryeo era.
In the first year of his reign, his queen, Queen No Guk, is injured severely. Then the King orders royal guard Choi Young (played by Lee Min Ho) to find the best doctor.
Swordsman Choi Young travels to modern era through the heaven and brings plastic surgeon Eun Soo (played by Kim Hee Sun) to Goryeo because he thinks that she’s the God’s doctor.
King Gong Min is also described as a brave king who stands against Won (Mongolian kingdom) with help from his swordsman Choi Young and saves their nation.
The romance of King Gong Min and Queen No Guk (originally was the princess of Won who later becomes Queen of Goryeo) is added to the drama story to strengthen the tension in the drama.
On his new role, 25-year-old Ryoo Duk Hwan said : ‘I hooked with the drama as soon as I read the script. The names of PD Kim Jong Hak and writer Song Ji Na also added the strong belief for me. King Gong Min is simply an irresistible role. As this’s a masterpiece work, I don’t want to lose this opportunity although I feel a bit burden. I’ll do my best’.
Lee Min Ho also said that he hooked with the Faith’s script and couldn’t stop reading until sixth episode.
The story must be awesome then !
