Runway Cop (previously titled Detective Cha) is the newest comedy movie from Kang Ji Hwan in which he meets again with his Hong Gil Dong‘s co-star Sung Yu Ri.
The handsome and sleek Kang Ji Hwan plays Detective Cha Chul Soo. His appearance is more like a beggar than a cop with all his smell and his belly fat. But, he’s a devoted cop.
And when he has to go undercover as a model walking in the runway to catch bad guy, he’s willing to shed 20 kgs of his weight only in 2 weeks.
Behind the scene, Kang Ji Hwan gained around 12 kgs (22 lbs) to perfectly transform into Cha Chul Soo.
And as his character Cha Chul Soo did in the movie – lost 20 kgs in 2 weeks- Kang Ji Hwan did the very same thing, he had to lose all those 12 kgs in just 2 weeks. And he made it.
Although we won’t find the usual Kang Ji Hwan as we seen in Lie To Me or Coffee House , but in his messy appearance, he still commands the screen and he’s so charming. It’ll be a so much fun movie worthy to watch.
Runway Cop premieres May 31.
I love all sung yuri movies and drama as she is just GORGEOUS. Can’t wait for this movie to air, all e best to this movie, and wish that this is a big hit movie with awesome ratings.
