On April 25, SBS announced that they picked Father’s War as the drama to replace Fashion King as Monday-Tuesday primetime drama , starts on May 28.
Father’s War brings the story of a homicide detective tries to find out the truth behind his lovely daughter’s death.
This drama picked serious actor Son Hyun Joo (Live in Style) and handsome ajusshi Kim Sang Joon (City Hunter) to play the leading men.
For the leading ladies, there’s Wang Ji Hye (Protect The Boss) and Go Joon Hee (Can You Hear My Heart).
Son Hyun Joo to play Baek Hong Suk, the homicide detective who fights against injustice world after his daughter died on car accident.
Baek Hong Suk will head to head with Kang Dong Yoon, the son-in-law of super chaebol who also powerful congressman. This cold man will be played by charismatic actor Kim Sang Joon.
Actress Go Joon Hee plays Seo Ji Won, a bright reporter and daughter of big company’s chairman. She’s caring, humanist and humble. But she will be torn when she finds the secret of her family while helping the detective unravel the death of his daughter.
Father’s War doesn’t look so appealing in the casting area as there’s no poster boy or famous leading lady. But the story seems different and refreshing after several old-fashioned Korean rom-com dramas. Moreover, the production team promised a lot of tension and suspense in every episode.
