Both My Princess (MBC) and Sign (SBS) debuted at the same time 3 weeks ago with good start.
Those two created close rivalry in rating battle,  Sign unexpectedly win with slight  margin in the first 2 episodes.
My Princess
took over the second week, win with wide margin (around 20%) for the third and fourth episodes.
But, the rating war still not over, for the third week (episode 5 and 6) Sign increased its rating while My Princess
decreased which narrowed the gap into around 10% with My Princess still in the lead.

We already saw the first 4 episodes of both dramas and here is our thought.

Sign
The plot
“When living person will lie, the dead corps will always tell the truth”.

Sign
is about the lives of forensic doctors, their intrigue, their job helps police uncovers crime and spiced with love story.
We afraid Sign will be a boring drama, but after the first episode, we loved it. It’s not over the top story, it’s realistic , not draggy,  super great pace so far.

The cast
Jun Kwang Ryul did a great job here, after played a boring father in Baker King, he is so energetic and brilliantly portraying an ambitious forensic doctor, perfect.
We’re not a big fan of Jung Gyu Woon but we loves him here. Different from usually useless second lead, his character as a police detective has a lot of impact to the plot and so far he’s a tough character, which we like.
Kim Ah Jong didn’t great in her previous drama, Six Months, so we underestimated her. But, she surprised us. She did great job so far, portrayed her character , a clumsy crime-scene officer so well.
Park Shin Yang didn’t bring something new to his character, an impulsive and quite erratic forensic doctor. He’s predictable but not below expectation, though.
Uhm Ji Won is the least lovable character for us but she delivered her role quite well despite her limited screen time so far.

In general, Sign is a well-made drama, the strong storyline and fast pace are the most attraction for us.

My Princess
The plot
Korean real princess is former orphanage girl and now is busy doing her part time job, collecting money to go to ….. Egypt ?

It’s a cliche cinderella story, with the prince is super wealthy man, but turned out the cinderella isn’t too shabby, she’s Korean princess.
Just as Sign, we afraid My Princess is also a boring story but we loved it too after finished the first episode. It brought a fast storyline and lots of laugh.

The cast
Song Seung Heon super surprised us with his super hilarious comic acting. Never thought that he could be that funny.
Kim Tae Hee also surprised us although not as much as Seung Heon did. She made her Lee Seol ,a naif college girl , to be a fresh and lovable character.
Park Ye Jin and Ryu Soo Young just typical second lead in Kdrama. They did nothing for us, so far.

In general, My Princess is a funny romantic comedy drama, with chemistry and comic between Song Seung Heon and Kim Tae Hee as the only attraction for us.

So, in conclusion , we love Sign more than  My Princess but My Princess is still a must see drama for us, it’s hilarious !
