Lee Da Hae confirmed her role as the heroine for upcoming MBC drama Goodbye Miss Ripley.
Goodbye Miss Ripley is inspired by a real national scandal in Korea just couple years ago, when an only high school graduate named Shin Jung Ah forged her academic credential (with help of her boyfriend) in order to be hired as assistant professor and art curator in Dongguk University, South Korea.
She claimed that she obtained BFA and MBA degree in University of Kansas and PhD from Yale University.
Later, she and her boyfriend served jail time for their action.
Previously people considered Shin Jung Ah’ life as a Cinderella’s story as she emerged from rags to good life. But as her fabrication act unveiled, her story became a scandal.
Lee Da Hae’s role in Goodbye Miss Ripley is a girl who lost her family then adopted by another unhappy family.
She lived a terrible life and then she fabricated her education record to enter high society life.
Lee Da Hae expressed her excitement on her twitter, said that she has a deep feeling with the script and waited for a long time for that feeling.
The lead male goes to Micky Yoochun and there’s still no information about his role. Another main cast are Kim Seung Woo who just dropped his role in Crime Squad and cute girl Kang Hye Jung from I Came In Search of A Flower.
We believe that Goodbye Miss Ripley , although inspired ,will not take full path as the real story of Shin Jung Ah. It’s scary to see the heroin serves in jail, right ?
We love to see Lee Da Hae again and she’s superb as a liar , just remember her role in My Girl.
And we have a lot of faith in MickyYoo Chun. We believe this drama will be a hit.
Goodbye Miss Ripley debuts next May, replacing Monday- Tuesday drama The Duo.

Lee Da Hae was adopted by poor Japanese couple, and although she made into University of Tokyo, later she was sold to prostitution to pay her foster parents’ gambling debt.
Then she run away and goes to Korea, works as Japanese interpreter and start to forge her academic record.
Micky Yoochun will play a hotel heir who falls for Da Hae. Meanwhile, Kim Seung Woo is a hotel manager who helps Da Hae to work at the hotel and also falls for her. And we bet that Kang Hye Jung will be the evil girl who loves Micky.
