Production company Verdimedia released news on June 12 that Kwon Sang Woo and Soo Ae signed contract to play the main cast for new drama Yawang (literally translated as ‘king of the night’).
The production company’s staff said that they plan to start shooting on August and the drama will air in the fall. The drama already received purchasing request of broadcasting right from several countries such as Japan, China and South East nations, all thanks to the popularity of Kwon Sang Woo and Soo Ae.
24-episode Yawang is the third part of cartoon series from cartoonist Park In Kwon after his previous work Daemul and War of Money became TV series.
Yawang tell story of Yoon Na Ri (Soo Ae) , a very poor woman who dreams to be a first lady and a man , Choi Kang Chan (Kwon Sang Woo) who sacrifices everything to help her. During the journey, they experience love, betrayal, unstoppable greed and conspiracy.
Writer Choi Ran who penned hit saeguk Iljimae will wrote Yawang’s script.
