That’s what Kim Jae Won said during the drama’s prayer ceremony event at MBC Drama center in Ilsan.
He said ,” I have a good luck whenever I played MBC’s dramas as the rating didn’t go below 15%. For May Queen I guarantee at least a 15% rating”.
That’s a very confident statement.
Kim Jae Won’s last drama, Can You Hear My Heart (CYHMH), was indeed a MBC’s weekend drama, just like this upcoming May Queen.
CYHMH was also averaging at 15 % during its showing.
But his previous MBC drama’s Wonderful Life (2005) was only averaging around 12 %.
Melodrama May Queen will debut on August 18 and will compete head-to-head with SBS’ Five Fingers.
Both drama have a quite similar recipe, a melodrama with revenge and betrayal.
So, will May Queen get 15% rating ?
It’s highly possible but we think that Five Fingers will win the rating war because it has a more dramatic storyline , almost a same recipe with megahit drama Baker King 2 years ago.
