During her recent interview with DongA, Jun Ji Hyun , the star of upcoming movie The Thieves, said ,”I was blinded by box-office result even before I started shooting. I’m thirst and hungry that my movie becomes a box-office hit. I wanted to join in mainstream movie which is loved by audience. When I read The Thieves‘ script for the first time, I instinctively thought ‘This is it’.”
Jun Ji Hyun continued , ” This movie comes from PD Choi Dong Hoon. I believe him as he already made several hit movies such as Jeon Woo Chi and The War of Flower. So, I wished to join the cast”.
About her role in the movie, Anycall, a sexy thief who’s also a rope-walker expert and loves to curse, Jun Ji Hyun said ,” Anycall has no limit. I really enjoyed my role. She’s cool. She lets things as it goes. She doesn’t want to control anything. I like her personality”.
About the dangerous wire-walking scene, Jun Ji Hyun shared ,” Of course , it’s hard. But also interesting. The scene of falling down from fifth floor was the most memorable”.
When reported asked about injury, Jun Ji Hyun said,” No big thing. When actress does action scenes, a small scar or gets black and blue here and there is natural”.
The star-studded movie The Thieves tells story of a bunch of thieves try to steal a huge diamond in Macau.
The movie premieres July 25.
