Yay, what a good news. After made his name a household name in Korea last year through super hit drama Baker King, Joo Won finally got another drama this year, titled Golden Pond, which will air as weekend drama in KBS2 next August.

Golden Pond, a family romance drama  tells story of  Hwang family who lived in a farm in the suburb of Seoul with their 4 sons. Joo Won plays the third son, named Hwang Tae Hee, works as a policeman and falls in love with Baek Ja Eun.
Baek Ja Eun , the heroine, will be played by Uee (from K-poop group After School). Bae Ja Eun is an arrogant young lady who also very proud with her beautiful face. This easily furious girl fights to get back the lost farm who belongs to her missing father.

The writer of hit drama Be Strong Geum Soon, Lee Jung Sun,  is penned to write the script while PD Ki Min Soo who directed Snow Queen is helmet this drama.

With only You’re Beautiful as her notable drama so far, singer actress Uee will face a big challenge to show her acting ability. But, as her type of role in Golden Pond doesn’t too complicated, then we think she’ll sail through.

Our major interest of this drama is of course Joo Won.
This rookie definitely didn’t too much shabby acting-wise in Baker King, but sometimes  we thought that he was just  lucky to be in the same boat with Baker King.
Then, Golden Pond is a golden opportunity for Joo Won to elevate his performance and makes a name aside of Baker King.
He has a super cute face which would be very wonderful if completed with superb acting. We believe he can !
