A sweet couple of ten years, actress Gong Hyo Jin and actor Ryu Seung Bum announced their separation through their agency.
The agency released statement on August 15 ,”We’re officially announcing that Ryu Seung Bum and Gong Hyo Jin separated in good term last April. They wanted to show good image as they received lot of loves for this last 10 years from the fans but unfortunately we have to announce their separation today”.
The agency continued ,” We’re sorry to everybody who believed and loved this couple -Ryu Seung Bum and Gong Hyo Jin-. We, who know them more than anybody else, will support them as usual as a family in the same company, colleagues in the same work field, actor and friend. We believe they can show their best effort in each assignment”.
It’s so ironic, that this lovely couple have been selected as the #1 celebrity couple by MBC’s Section TV last June, at a time when they’re actually no longer a couple.
32-year-old Gong Hyo Jin met 32-year-old Ryu Seung Bum when they played an on-screen couple for 2011 SBS’ drama Wonderful Times. They soon became a real-life couple after the drama ended.
During their 10 years relationship, they chose a brief separation on 2003 , but then quickly reunited again.
Personal life aside, at the moment Gong Hyo Jin is busy helping actor Ha Jung Woo -her Love Fiction’s co-star- to film documentary work called Project 577.
Meanwhile Ryu Seung Bum is busy filming his new spy thriller movie titled In Berlin with Jun Ji Hyun, Han Suk Kyu and Ha Jung Woo.
