As previously reported, Han Ye Seul will play Myung Wol, a North Korean spy in upcoming KBS2 drama titled Myung Wol the Spy which now re-titled into Beautiful Spy.

Told that Myung Wol comes to South on her spying job and falls in love to a South Korean hallyu star, epic!
And just confirmed today after several days of rumor that Eric Moon will play that hallyu star,  named Kang Woo , who  introduced a new myth into  entertainment world and is the living trend icon.
Wow, that means he’s not average hallyu star, then it would be a hard job for Eric to make his role believable on screen. But, the script and PD will help him for sure !

On his new role, Eric Moon said that “It is quite a pressure since it’s my first project in 3 years but I am also anxious and nervous. I will show you who Hallyu star Kang Woo is“.

Yeah, after his first drama since his military service, Poseidon , was stalled and seems dead, then being cast  in Beautiful Spy must be a relieve and in the same time also a pressure for Eric. But he got an interesting role  here and with the help of great PD Hwang In Hyun (Sungkyunkwan Scandal) we believe Beautiful Spy would be a great drama.

Another confirmed cast for Beautiful Spy is fresh from military service, Lee Jin Wook (Air City , Powerful Opponents). He plays Choi Ryu, North Korean spy who assists Myung Wol’s mission and also accompanying her to South Korea. He is likely to be mad when he finds that his soobae (junior) falls for hallyu star.

With 3 roles already disclosed, then we predict the second female lead will be ex-girlfriend / ex-fiancee of the hallyu star  who is going after him. Haha !

Beautiful Spy debuts July 4, replacing Baby-faced Beauty.
