36-year-old funny man Cha Tae Hyun will return to tv drama after General Hospital 2 (2009) with a leading role in upcoming KBS2 saeguk drama Jeon Woo Chi.
Jeon Woo Chi is a guru in the legendary nation ‘Yooldo’ which was set up by hero Hong Gil Dong. After Hong Gil Dong died because of his friend’s betrayal, Jeon Woo Chi comes to Chosun for revenge. Unintentionally, against his initial plan, Jeon Woo Chi becomes poor people’s hero.
Cha Tae Hyun takes the title role, Jeon Woo Chi, a man who can do magic because he swallowed the jewel of nine-tailed fox.
Meanwhile, for the leading lady, the producer picked 24-year-old Uee. The singer and actress will play Yooldo’s princess and also Hong Gil Dong’s granddaughter.
Although we think that Cha Tae Hyun is a bit too old for Uee but Cha Tae Hyun definetely the perfect cast to live up Jeon Woo Chi’s playful character.
Jeon Woo Chi airs November 21, replacing Innocent Man.
