Moon Geun Young’s Closer poster is out

Poster for Moon Geun Young theater debut , Closer,  is unveiled, similar with  poster of the movie version.
It’s amazing poster, looks cool and serious, with its 4 main character face, Jin Kyung, Uhm Ki Joon, Moon Geun Young and Choi Kwang Il.
Moon Geun Young will plays Alice character (played by Natalie Portman in the Closer movie).

Moon Geun Young is definitely good at choosing roles that can show her acting ability and show the diversity of role she can play. This Alice character really going to show adult side of Moon Geun Young who has cute baby face.

Closer will premiere August 6  at Daehangno Arts Theatre, Seoul.



Jung So Min is female lead for Playful Kiss

After weeks of rumors, finally Playful Kiss has its female lead, after last week confirmed that Kim Hyun Jung was the male lead.
Jung So Min, 21 years old, is rookie in Korean drama industry. Born March 16, 1989 , she already has some CF for her credit and  appearing in Bad Man right now. That’s her first drama and her acting is quite good. Her role in Bad Man is Mo nae, a spoiled daughter of chaebol family who also sweet, lovely and annoying sometimes.
Her next role in highly anticipating Playful Kiss, Moon Ha Ni, a school girl  is not so far from the previous.

The production team of Playful Kiss gearing up  filming this middle of July to catch the debut date, September 1.

Congratulation Jung So Min, this will be  a giant leap for your career.

Chuno gisaeng, Song Ji Eun, joins Dr. Champ

Song Ji Eun who now is starring in Bad Man will join cast of upcoming  SBS sport medical drama, Dr. Champ, alongside with Kim So Yeon, Jung Gyu Won and Uhm Tae Woong.
In Bad Man, Song Ji Eun plays as Kim Nam Gil’s mother.
Before Bad Man, she appeared as Gisaeng Chan in hit KBS drama The Slave Hunters.

Unique band girl of I am Legend

The sneak peak picture from upcoming Kim Jung Eun’s drama I am Legend was out.
Kim Jung Eun as the frontwoman of her band seen hold a guitar (looks like she is lefty) and the rest of the band mates, Hong Ji Min (City Hall, On Air), Jyu Ni (Iris) and Jang Shin Young (The Road Home) seen on action  as rock band. Their band will called “Madonna comeback band”.

Fugitive” is no longer a Korean drama series. It is international drama series.
Starred by Korean superstar Rain, Danniel Henney, Lee Na Young and Japanese pop idol Uehara Takako and Japanese star Takenaka Naoto, now Hong Kong famous face Eric Tsang is confirming to join the drama.

Eric Tsang , 57 years old, who also a film director  and producer showed his interest in this drama and said that he really love to appear in Fugitive, even without payment !
Eric already appeared in more than 100 movies, including famous Hong Kong movie Infernal Affairs trilogy alongside Andy Lau and Tony Leung.

Eric Tsang role in Fugitive is General Wi , Kai (Daniel Henney) business partner who ask Ji Woo (Rain) to help him solve a murder in Macau.

Really can’t wait for Fugitive KBS  September debut !

Playful Kiss” will debut on September 1st, but still  do not have a female lead.
Park Shin Hye who for weeks rumored as female lead, just dropped out from this drama.
She stated : “Even though I haven’t seen the script yet, I really wanted to participate in this drama. But I felt that I wasn’t ready to work on this though, especially because I have many other activities to attend to, I’m sorry.”

Former leader of boyband 2 PM, Park Jae Beom /Jay Park, is likely to cast in upcoming SBS drama “Secret Garden“.
If the negotiation finish, Pak Jeo Beom will play Sun, a rookie singer who has been hurt by the fact that the reason his father left his family is because of his mother’s affair with another man.
The only confirmed cast for “Secret Garden” to date is Jang Hyuk. Meanwhile Yoon Sang Hyun (My Fair Lady, Queen of Housewives) and former Miss Korea, Kim Sa Rang also considered for the drama.

Last September Park Jae Beom got caught up in a national controversy ( he made critical comments  about Korea on social networking site MySpace between 2005 and 2007) that abruptly ended his music career as a member of popular idol group 2PM.
He left Korea and stayed in US for a while and just comeback to Korea last month.
He is currently shooting the dance pic “Hype Nation” in Korea. He plays the male lead in the film, which is about a dance contest between an American dance crew and South Korean b-boys.

Uhm Tae Woong joins Dr. Champ, SBS medical sport drama , scheduled to broadcast October after “I am Legend“.
He probably will play the director of the Korea National Training Center who will perform love triangle with Kim So Yeon and Jung Gyu Woon.

Kim So Yeon new drama “Dr. Champ”

Kim So Yeon will appear in SBS upcoming drama titled “Dr. Champ”. She will play  female lead, named Kim Yeon Woo, a doctor. The male lead will be Jung Gyu Woon (Women of The Sun, Hateful but Once Again, Loving You Thousand Times).

This drama will be aired around October after I am Legend finished.

Kim So Yeon who gain popularity after her perfect appearance as North Korean agent in IRIS , just finished her latest SBS drama “Prosecutor Princess“. We should give praise to Kim So Yeon for her role selection. She didn’t do stereotype. After played great as a spy in thriller drama IRIS, she became a prosecutor in “Prosecutor Princess”, kind of a fun drama, and now she transform herself to be a doctor.

Dr. Champ is a sport medical drama,  story about love, friendship, conflict and reconciliation , dream and hope. The doctor, Kim Yeon Woo, is a perfectionist doctor who is in charge of the national representative athletes at the Korea National Training Center who sometimes clashes with the athletes.
The male lead (Jung Gyu Won) is a national judo athlete. A most promising judo athlete ten years ago, but made mistake at an international competition.
