Despite car accident, Seo Woo still filming ‘Glass Mask’

Seo Woo had a car accident on her way to the Glass Mask‘s shooting set on November 16.
She was taken to the hospital immediately and had several injuries.
She said that there’s a shock on her neck and her rib cage needs treatment because of pain. But, overall, she’s fine.
Because of that, she has to wear a neck brace.

But, the injuries didn’t stop her to fulfill her commitment to continue her job as the leading act of tvN drama Glass Mask.
She’s continuing filming with her neck brace.
Daily drama Glass Mask (airs from Monday to Thursday) which is in live shooting now, will air 2 special episodes to give Seo Woo time to recover.

Song Hye Kyo’s Wind Blows in Winter starts script reading

Beside spy action drama IRIS 2, in February 2013 we’re also expecting a high profile melodrama ‘Wind Blows in Winter‘, starred by Hallyu superstar Song Hye Kyo and Jo In Sung plus famous supporting cast such as Kim Bum, Jung Eun Ji (Reply 1997), Seo Hyo Rim (Sungkyunkwan Scandal), Bae Jong Ok, Kim Tae Woo and Kim Kyu Chul.

The cast of the drama gathered for its first script reading at SBS Ilsan Production Center on November 4.

Wind Blows in Winter comes from famous writer Noh Hee Kyung (Worlds Within, Padam Padam), tells story of a lonely heir of a rich family (Song Hye Kyo) who lost her eyesight and her father. She struggles to protect herself from people around her includes a gambler (Jo In Sung).

IRIS 2 starts 3 years after the death of Lee Byung Hun’s character

IRIS 2, the sequel of highly successful drama IRIS, had its pre-production media conference on November 13 at Ritz Carlton Hotel, Gangnam , Seoul.
The session was attended by drama’s main cast such as Jang Hyuk, Lee Da Hae, Lee Bum Soo, Oh Yun Soo and MBLAQ’s Lee Joon.
Also in attendance was PD Pyo MIn Soo , specialist melodrama who for the first time will direct an action drama.

The story of IRIS 2 will take place 3 years after the death of the best NSS agent Kim Hyun Joon (played by Lee Byung Hun) which his death scene closed the first drama.
After his death, former NSS captain, Baek San (played by Kim Young Chul) was arrested because of his activity with secret group Iris. He was in custody and protected by NSS.
Then NSS has its new vice-captain, Oh Yun Soo, who tries to go deeper chasing Iris organization with the help of NSS’ agents Ji Soo Yun (played by Lee Da Have) and Seo Hyun Woo (played by Yoon Doo Jun).
Meanwhile, leading actor, Jang Hyuk , will play Yoo Gun, the chief of NSS task force.

Lee Phillip stepped down from Faith because of eye injury

It’s a sad news for Lee Phillip who played smart doctor in SBS drama Faith alongside Lee Min Ho and Kim Hee Sun.
On October 19, the production team reported that 31-year-old Lee Phillip had an eye injury and must undergo an operation this week. It means he could be missing for the last remaining episodes of Faith which will end on October 30.

Lee Phillip stated ,” I have to leave the drama with a few remaining episodes. I feel sorry to the fans. I will try to come back as soon as possible.”

Hopefully the operation goes well and he could make it for the finale.

‘King of Drama’ received warm welcome in Japan

The stars from upcoming drama ‘King of Drama‘, Kim Myung Min and Jung Ryu Won went to Japan to film several scene there.
Just as they arrived at Fukuoka airport , they’re greet by a bunch of Japanese fans who especially waitied for them, carried welcome posters and flowers.
Faced the enthusiatic fans, Jung Ryu Won and Kim Myung Min made a stop and happily talked with them. As per fans’ request, both Jung Ryu Won and Kim Myung Min introduced their roles in the drama.

King of Drama is scheduled to debut November 5 (replacing Faith), its other star is popular singer Super Junior’s Choi Si Won.

First stills from upcoming drama ‘I Miss You’

The first stills arrived from upcoming romance drama I Miss You, starred by popular young actors Micky Yoochun and Yoon Eun Hye.

The still didn’t feature both stars, though.

Instead, it’s the poster shoot with the young actors Yeo Jin Goo and Kim So Hyun who portray Yoochun and Eun Hye’s teenage version.

The poster shoot was taken on October 8. The 2 young actors were in high spirit despite battled chilly fall weather and the artificial rain.

They acted as a happy couple enjoying their romance but also there’s sadness showed in the stills.

Vampire Procecutor 2 will be aired in South East Asia and America

Continuing the success of its first installment, Vampire Prosecutor 2 hit rating as high as 2.97% and was no. 1 drama in its time slot for 3 weeks in a row.

Following the home country’s success, Vampire Prosecutor 2 – just like Vampire Prosecutor 1- also sold to  South East Asia countries through cable channel KIX and Thrill which airs in 9 countries , Singapore, Malaysia, Philippine, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Macao and Vietnam.
Vampire Prosecutor 2 will be aired on KIX and Thrill starts from January 2013.

Not only South East Asia, this drama also spoils American viewers through  live streaming site Hulu and DramaFever.

SBS denied plagiarism allegation for Chungdamdong Alice

The root of the story was when Moon Geun Young was rumored to lead upcoming SBS drama Chungdamdong Alice, several media informed that the story was based on a novel by writer Lee Hye Kyung titled Chungdamdong Ohdoori.

When the drama’s lead cast fixed with Moon Geun Young and Park Shi Hoo, there’s a plagiarism allegation for Chungdamdong Alice.

The allegation came from the publisher company of novel Chungdamdong Ohdoori.
They revealed that they have been preparing a TV drama series based on that novel for the last 2 years. They also made a contract with the novel’s author Lee Hye Kyung.
But they were surprised when news came out that SBS will make a drama titled Chungdamdong Alice, and they said that SBS drama have a 90% similarity with their novel, including character, setting and storyline.

SBS made a press statement on August 30 to deny the allegation. SBS said , there’s nothing in common between Chungdamdong Alice and Chungdamdong Ohdoori except the title ‘Chungdamdong’ and the leading man’s occupation as a CEO of a fashion company.

SBS also said that their writer Kim Ji Woon, Kim Young Hyun, Park Sang Hyun and Kim Jin Hee have been preparing Chungdamdong Alice for 2 years and surprised with the plagiarism accusation because the two has no similarity.

SBS also denied rumor which stated that a writer of Chungdamdong Alice received an autograph from Chungdamdon Ohdoori’s writer, Lee Hye Jung.

Chungdamdong Alice will replace Five Fingers next December.

Five Fingers’ Jin Se Yun is piano girl

Turns out, rising actress Jin Se Yun has a musical ability. She can play piano.
Media said that Jin Se Yun’s piano skill was the main reason why PD Choi Young Hoon picked her to replace T-ara Eun Jung.
