Bridal Mask added new face , Jung Eun Byul , to the cast

As producer added 4 episode extensions from the previous planned 24, Bridal Mask’s producer needed to add a fresh character to the cast.
They picked 27-year-old rookie actress Jung Eun Byul who will play an elite agent of the independence movement.

Her character, Jin Hong, born as the daughter of famous family who support independence movement against Japanese imperialism.
She’s excel in martial arts, gun shooting and even piloting war-planes. She’s also fluent in English, Russian and Chinese languages.

She’s plotted to make a chilling confrontation with Ueno Rie (the Japanese spy) . Both are beautiful with badass spirit.

It’s a smart move by the producer. A new fresh face will add dynamic to the previous conflict between Lee Kang To, Kimura Shunji , Mok Dan and Ueno Rie.

Jung Eun Byul’s previous dramas were short drama The First Marriage (2010) and then she played evil girl in KBS2 drama The Thorn Birds.
Jung Eun Byul’s action for Bridal Mask is started in the 21st episode.

Joo Won to play The Secret Lovers ?

After Kim Nam Gil and Lee Dong Gun, rumor has it that upcoming MBC drama The Secret Lovers offered a role for Joo Won.

Joo Won’s agency said that they received offer, considering it positively but not yet make decision.

So, how about Kim Nam Gil and Lee Dong Gun ? Do they drop it ?
It’s already several months since Lee Dong Gun finished his army and he’s still without new project. Why doesn’t he grab it ?

Does the story so bad ?
The Secret Lovers is TV version of hit 2007 comedy movie My Girlfriend is An Agent, starred Kim Ha Neul and Kang Ji Hwan.
The drama plot circles around a man and a woman, who are working as top secret agent. They’re a couple but they don’t know each other’s real job.

It should be a hilarious , exciting drama and if Joo Won plays it, we definitely on board.
But, Joo Won needs a rest after finished Bridal Mask’s grueling shooting at the end of August, right ? Make your decision carefully, Joo Won.

The Secret Lovers is scheduled to replace Arang and The Magistrate next October/November.

Ki Tae Young is a doctor in To The Beautiful You ; Lee Sang Yeob is a lawyer in Nice Guy

Ki Tae Young joins teen idol’s drama To The Beautiful You.
The 33-year-old actor and the husband of actress Eugene will play Jang Min Woo, he’s a mysterious doctor who responsible for medical room of all-boys physical education high school.

For refresher, To The Beautiful You is Korean remake of Japanese Hanazakari no Kimitachi. The drama tells story of Jae Hee, a girl disguises as a boy to enter an all-boys high school in order to help Tae Joon – a gold medal winning pole jumper- to revive his career.

Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung in Haeundae Lovers ; Kim Seung Woo in City Conquest

Singer Kang Min Kyung from duo group Davichi joins upcoming KBS2 drama Haeundae Lovers.
The 23-year-old singer and actress will play Hwang Joo Hee, Jung Suk Won’s secretary and also Jo Yeo Jung’s high school friend.
Kang Min Hyuk will parade a cute doll charm for her character.

This is Kang Min Kyung’s third acting job after Vampire Idol and Smile, Mom.
Haeundae Lovers’s also starred by Kim Kang Woo, Jo Yeo Jung, Jung Suk Won and Nam Gyu Ri.

Actor Kim Seung Woo takes supporting role in upcoming Kim Hyun Joong’s drama City Conquest.
He plays the secret powerful man who controls President’s secret money. His character is described as cold, accurate and decisive but in the contrary also a sincere husband and great father.

Although he only appears in the first five episodes, but his character is important for the drama’s story and is predicted will revive his charismatic aura in his previous drama IRIS.

Kim Nam Gil and Lee Dong Gun compete for The Secret Lovers

After discharged from army last March, rumor has it that Lee Dong Gun got offer to play leading man from upcoming MBC’s drama tentatively titled The Secret Lovers.
The drama is a TV version of hit movie ‘7th Grade Civil Servant‘ (starred Kim Ha Neul and Kang Ji Hwan).
The TV version will tell love story of a seemingly normal couple but apparently they both hid their secret job as a national intelligence officer and an industrial spy.

In the last couple of days, news surfaced that Kim Nam Gil, who will finish his army duty on July 14, also got offer to play the leading man.
Both Kim Nam Gil and Lee Dong Gun’s agency stated that they received offer but nothing is confirmed yet.

So, who’s better to play The Secret Lovers ?
The genre is comedy and we never see Kim Nam Gil plays a comedy (his character in his last 2 dramas were cold and sad) , so  it would be refreshing to see  Kim Nam Gil plays hide and seek with his girlfriend, ha !

The Secret Lovers airs after Arang and The Magistrate.

T-ara Eun Jung vs Joo Ji Hoon in Five Fingers

T-ara Eun Jung (Dream High, Coffee House) takes the leading lady role of upcoming SBS’ weekend drama Five Fingers which also becomes Joo Ji Hoon’s comeback drama.

23-year-old Eun Jung -the member of pop girl group T-ara- will play Hong Da Mi. She dreams of becoming a pianist but gives up because her father died in a fire accident, left the family in financial struggle. She later works in a beauty salon.

Hong Da Mi will romance Yoo Ji Sang (played by Joo Ji Hoon) , a genius pianist comes from troubled family.

So, Joo Ji Hoon and Eun Jung ?
Joo Ji Hoon has a cool and mysterious aura. While Eun Jung’s more a bubbly and fun personality. So, probably it’s a good match.

Five Fingers airs next August, replaces A Gentleman’s Dignity.

Lee Sang Woo in ‘Horse Doctor’ ; Kim Myung Min returns with ‘The King of Dramas’

Low profile actor Lee Sang Woo (Feast of The Gods, A Thousand Days’ Promise) tries a historical drama first the first time as he joins the squad of upcoming highly anticipated drama Horse Doctor ( Enchanted) from famed director Lee Byung Hoon who made Daejanggeum, Yi San and Dong Yi.

Lee Sang Woo will play Lee Sung Ha, a handsome and smart man. He will form a love triangle with leading man , Baek Kwang Hyun (played by Jo Seung Woo) and leading lady Kang Ji Nyung (played by Lee Yo Won).

As typical second lead man’s qualification, Lee Sung Ha also create rivalry with Baek Kwang Hyun because Lee’s father involves in Baek’s father death.

Horse Doctor main story is Baek Kwang Hyun, a horse vet who later becomes royal physician.

Horse Doctor airs next September as MBC’ s Monday-Tuesday drama.

Kim Myung Min plans to return to TV drama after Beethoven Virus in 2008.

During the promotional event of his new movie ‘Deranged‘ on June 27, the 40-year-old actor revealed that he will take a role in upcoming SBS’ drama titled The King of Dramas.

Kim Myung Min said, “It’s true that TV drama’s working condition is bad, usually we don’t sleep for days, that’s why I avoided it. But when I was reading this drama’s synopsis, I knew that it’s my role”.

The King of Dramas tells story of the tyranny surrounding the showbusiness people, the producers, writers, crews , actors and actresses.

The King of Drama was planned to air after Fashion King but was delayed and will air next November after Lee Min Ho’s Faith.

Park Shin Hye plays ghost in one episode KBS drama

While waiting for the filming of her new movie December 23rd starts, Park Shin Hye will star in one episode KBS2 special drama titled ‘Don’t Worry, It’s A Ghost’.

Don’t Worry, It’s A Ghost tells story of romance between a man -who woke up in the hospital and lost all his memory- with a a cute ghost that happens to appear in front of him.

Park Shin Hye takes the charming ghost’s role , Yun Hwa. While comic actor Bong Tae Kyu plays Moon Gi, the man who lost his memory. Another star joins the cast was Nam Gyu Ri who will appears in Haeundae Lovers.

PD Lee Eun Jin who will direct the drama said ,” I couldn’t think of other actress than Park Shin Hye for Yun Hwa role. Yun Hwa is only a ghost but she’s cheerful and lovely. It’s the same image we get from Park Shin Hye”.
Couldn’t agree more !

Don’t Worry, It’s A Ghost airs July 15.

Jung Yoo Mi makes a big career leap as she grabbed a leading lady role alongside idol star Kim Hyun Joong in highly anticipated drama City Conquest.

Based on popular comic, City Conquest tells story of a man who with his mother were abandoned by his father and grew up with resentment for his father. This young man then becomes a hero who fights the evil society.

Kim Kang Woo and Jo Yeo Jung are ‘Haeundae Lovers’

Kim Kang Woo and Jo Yeo Jung have a similarity : they both just made headlines with their fair-share of nudity and hot scenes in their movies (Kim Kang Woo’s in The Taste of Money and Jo Yeo Jung’s in The Concubine).

Now, they will perform a unique love story in upcoming KBS drama titled Haeundae Lovers.

Kim Kang Woo (The Slingshot) plays a former prosecutor who mainly handled gangsters. He lost his memory and moves to Haeundae (near Busan).
There, he meets a local gangster and gets involve with trouble.

Meanwhile Jo Yeo Jung (I Need Romance) plays Ko Sa Ran, a cheerful woman , the daughter of a gangster who lives with her father who hurt his head in an accident.

Although the story involves gangsters, turns out Haeundae Lovers is a romantic comedy. This drama will be replacing another rom-com, Big, in August and probably will debut head to head with SBS’ hot drama Faith (starring Lee Min Ho). Yikes !

Haeundae Lovers‘ story seems interesting, fresh and unconventional. And added with 2 competent , no nonsense actors as the leading cast, this is surely a must watch drama !
