Yesterday , in the 26th episode, the overdramatic KBS drama Baker King Kim Tak Goo scored a new record rating 48,4% according to TNmS.
It is the highest rating so far for Baker King which will close to finale in episode 30.
The story heated up, as Tak Goo almost met his mom but suddenly his mom seemed to lose her eyesight and then being kidnapped , again !
Many predicted that Baker King will reach 50 percent rating mark before it’s finale. That’s will be an astonishing  achievement for Baker King.

Meanwhile, in the same time slot, highly anticipated new drama Playful Kiss (PK) surprised everyone with it’s very low rating, 3.5% for Wednesdey (the first episode) and 3.6% for Thursday (second episode). It is a very very very low rating !

If we surprised before with Sungkyunkwan Scandal (SS) low rating , 7.7% on it’s premiere, we never imagine that PK only can brought half of SS’s audience.
What’s a disastrous situation for PK production team.
Then , what’s wrong ?

The story is great and strong (is proved with the success of Japanese and Taiwanese version).
The cast ? Nothing wrong with the cast. They are all great.
Even hit drama Baker King two male lead are rookies and didn’t show superb acting so far.

So, we thought it’s all about the time slot.
Since PK is aired in the same time with phenomenal drama Baker King and  already established drama My Girlfriend is Gumiho from famous idol Lee Seung Gi, seemed that there is no more room for PK.
The TV audience who love  drama series has been absorbed by Baker King and MGIG, leave little for PK.

So hopefully in the next three weeks when Baker King ended, PK will get more audience and gain more rating.
